Starting as a freshman at Shortstop for our State Bound High School Baseball team has been the one of my favorite highlights of my high school career so far. Not only did I get to contribute to the success of the team, but I also helped my older brother make it to the State Tournament during his Senior year in High School. That experience has taught me the importance of playing for others and I've carried that over into my Sophomore football season at the Quarterback position. If my teammates and the team are successful, then I know I'm doing my part. I continue to work on becoming a better Quarterback so that I can experience team success at the collegiate level as well.
After a disappointing spring season of 2020 because of the pandemic I knew I had to do something about it. I could either sit around my house all day and do nothing to improve on myself or I can take this time and increase my athleticism and skills. I did exactly that and took this off time head on. With all the free time I had, all I did was lift weights all day and work on football drills. This helped me increase my overall athleticism and boosted my confidence ever more. I took it straight into 2020 football season and had an outstanding season. 2020-2021 Basketball season was a success as well, then came baseball season. With the loss of a season due to the pandemic my teammates and I were extra motivated to head into this 2021 season. With this motivation behind us we soared our program to new heights. We won the 2021 2-1A Kansas State Championship. This had to be my favorite season out of all the ones I had. It was our first baseball state championship in program history.
I believe I have the physical and mental talent to play Quarterback for a college football team. I'm not an overly vocal person. I lead by example, hard-work, poise, and a humble confidence on the field of play. I believe I can lead a team to success by getting to know my teammates and playing for those teammates, executing during the game, and improving my skills continuously to assist with my part of the overall team success. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically. I'm a three sport athlete and want to continue my athletic career for as long as they will let me keep playing.
