Marshall Hurlbut '21 Recruiting Profile

I come from a large, hardworking family that includes 2 older sisters and 2 younger sisters. We all have played one sport or another, so we all have a certain degree of athleticism in us. While we all are athletic, we still are pretty intelligent, my GPA being about 3.3 to 3.6. 4 years ago we moved in with my great-grandmother who has dementia and needed full-time help which has cemented my belief in teamwork, cooperation, and doing what has to be done. 

My football experience started as an offensive guard in 4th grade, but I was soon moved to fullback and tailback. I started playing linebacker in high school. My Junior Year we were one guard short, so I was moved to fill the hole. I am able to play most any spot that needs filled because throughout the years I was moved around a lot. I don’t mind, I enjoy new challenges.

I would enjoy continuing my football career while I go through college because it's been a big part of my life and I'm not ready for it to be done yet. I plan on going for elementary education and after I graduate I plan on moving back to my small town to do my part.
