My name is Chandise Wells and I am a Senior at Sacopee Valley High School in Hiram, Maine. I am dedicated to the sport of football and constantly desire to get better. My coaches have called me a film junkie because I love watching film and trying to analyze what the other team is doing in order to help my team. Offensively, I have played strong side guard as well as center and on defensive I play either nose tackle or strong side end. If you look at my transcript you will see that my freshman and sophomore years were not good academically, that is because I had not discovered the proper learning techniques that I needed to ensure my success in the classroom. With the help of my parents, I have developed them and am poised to be on the A/B honor roll (if not all A honor roll) for the remainder of my time in high school.
I am a very fast learner and welcome the chance to expand my ever-improving skillset as a center. I was just named honorable mention All-Conference Center and am not satisfied until I am named All-State. This drive is going to see me in the weight room at least 3 times a week as well as working on my cardio and endurance. I can promise that the same intensity that I start the game with will be the same intensity that I end with. That same intensity will also be on the practice field. I believe that if my coaches cannot trust me to work hard and give it my all in practice, then how can they trust me to work hard and give it my all in the game.
I aspire to play football at the collegiate level with the long-term goal of being an athletic trainer. I have been very active in the JROTC program and have had the joy of teaching close to 50 fellow cadets the art of exhibition (competetive rifle flipping). I am a dedicated student-athlete, with extensive leadership experience, and athletic prowess that I believe make me an ideal candidate to continue my football career at the collegiate level.
