Jalyn Stacey '21 Recruiting Profile

When I started basketball in Kindergarten I instantly knew it was my passion. My biggest goal in life has always been to  to  play college basketball. I play two sports which are soccer and basketball, but basketball is by far my favorite. I also have been playing for the AAU team Maine Renegades team for three years now. A lot of my coaches say I'm a hard-working, determined, and a very coachable athlete. Younger Teammates and fans say that I’m the player they look up too. I started playing soccer in the 7th grade and my freshman year I got most improved for my varsity team. This year for basketball I got chosen to represent my team at the foul shooting competition and I came in 3rd for Class C girls. I am a 5'11 post and my school team coach and my AAU coach has me play guard and a forward because I can shoot outside shots and work down in the post. I am looking to continue my basketball career through college, and my top major is Elementary Education and I’d also like to minor in coaching.
