Darnell Wyke '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been involved in playing sports for as long as I can remember and have always wanted to compete at the highest level possible. Being a multi-sport player and highly dedicated, I aspire to be able to continue in any of my favourite sports (baseball, football or track) while pursuing a college/university degree. My goal is to obtain a sports scholarship because I believe its the last fork in the path. It would ultimately be my dream to play sports at a professional level. If that did not become a reality, I would feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to continue playing sports at the college/university while successfully completing my degree. I believe that I have strong leadership skills and that I can contribute positively to any team through my actions both on and off the playing field. 

I possess a team first attitude and consistently give 100% effort in every sport that I play. Some of my strengths that I'd like to highlight are my speed, agility, intensity level, and the ability to think quickly. I'm ultra competitive and display a strong desire and work ethic to learn new skills and improve my overall game. I will always do whatever is necessary within the confines of the rules in order to help my team win a game! I've been described by my coaches as an 'emotional player' who pushes everyone to perform at their highest level. I am always encouraging and respectful of my teammates and coaches. I hope to make all of the coaches I've had the privilege of working with over the years and my parents proud of my efforts and accomplishments.
