Andre' Gray '16 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals and aspirations are threefold. My first goal is to graduate college with a B.A. or B.S. degree.  I will be able to achieve this degree by attending the classes that the University has set forth with a personal commitment to complete them. Earning this degree will not only put me on the right track to my future, but greatly improve my chances of a career in law enforcement. It is also very important to my parents that I obtain it. My second goal is receiving/earning an athletic scholarship in my High School Senior Year (2015-2016) to play college football. One of the most important lessons that I have learned over the 11 years that I have played youth (8) and High School (3) football is being accountable. Accountability will keep me on the right track with my college studies, and remaining committed and discipline to the sport of football and life in general. I am a team player and will strive to be one of the best in my position. My third goal is becoming a more diverse and well-rounded person.  Obtaining an education level beyond High School is critical to my future success.  In today’s society, education is incredibly important and if I receive and complete a higher level of education it will allow me to have many more options to being a successful and productive member of society. The other half of this goal is meeting and building new friendships with teammates from various places and backgrounds. What makes me a good candidate for any team is my ability to overcome adversity, a fast learner, focused, being mentally tough, and making others/teammates around me better. What makes me different from other recruits is I am a person of good character, very respectful, a team player, humble and put others before myself. Just about half of my life was spent in the Marital Arts, therefore I understand discipline, confidence and competing at a high level.
