Eight years old is a young age to fall in love, but I did. I fell in love with playing football. From the beginning I have put my full effort into playing, practicing, and working out with a trainer to make myself better at the sport. My coaches have told me that they can always depend on me and that I am very coach-able and versatile. For this reason, they gave me the responsibility to play on both sides of the ball. My freshman year in high school, not only did I play defensive tackle, but I also played every position on the offensive line except center. At the end of the season I was pulled from JV to play on the varsity team for playoffs. Although I didn't see much playing time, it was a great experience to be able to practice with the varsity team and learn from some of the older players.
I take this same attitude into the classroom. At the end of last school year I was ranked 4th in my class with an overall 4.4 GPA. I am very interested in math and engineering and look forward to studying engineering in college.
I am spending my time working out with my personal trainer, attending showcases, and OL and DL camps. I am fully committed to playing football and I am looking forward to playing at the college level.
