Being moved up to varsity as a sophomore and winning the Maryland State Championship this year was a major highlight to start off my high school football career.
I had to work extremely hard to get moved up to varsity especially half way through the season when they already had their minds on who the starters would be. I was able to show the senior lineman that I was coming up and able to fill their positions.
I had the privilege as a freshman to be a part of a team that won our first homecoming game. We went 7-2 and the first game I was able to win player of the game with 7 tackles.
Being a part of a 1A high school football team that has been to the Maryland 1A State Championship 6 years in a row, has led me to become a better player this upcoming varsity season. I believe I have the talent and abilities to not only be a great football player on your team but also an outstanding academic student.
This school year our wrestling team consisted of freshman and sophomores, therefore I stood up to be the leader of our team. As a two-sport athlete and a team captain for wrestling, I know I have the abilities to be a leader in the classroom and on the field.
