I am an enthusiastic leader on the field and in the classroom. Although I adore the game of football, academics remains my main priority because I am well aware that I cannot play football my entire life. I take pride in being a well-rounded young man. I am athletic, intelligent and adept in social environments. I love football because as the NFL preaches in their slogan; "Football is family." Every man on my team, whether a friend or a foe, is family before all else. My father constantly reminds me that football is the ultimate team sport as well and if I take one play off, make one bad pass or lackadaisically hold on to the football my teammates will suffer the consequences. I am looking for a school and a football program that reflects my own beliefs, a program that proritizes academics but always puts family first. Despite the decline in football's popularity and arrival of studies proving its negative long term effects, I believe the positive aspects of the game outweigh the risk. The sense of community and life long friends that are forged, discipline that is taught and the passion that the game evokes captures my love for the game. Academically, I am interested in the fields of science and engineering, medicine and biomedical engineering in specific. Medicine simply because the human anatomy fascinates me and who doesn't want to constantly help people and give back to the community! Biomedical engineering because it is a profession that does not receive all the glory but equally contributes to the field of medicine. Biomedical engineers construct the machines used in hospitals such as MRI and X-RAYs as well as invent new technologies to continue to save lives. Thank you for your time coaches and I hope to meet many of you in the near future.
