From the time I began playing football in second grade it has been my passion. The game has taught me numerous life lessons I don't believe I would have obtained anywhere else and has made me the person I am today. My high school career has had its high and low points. However, the period where I grew the most was following my sophomore year. At this time, I was asked to switch from my lifelong positions of running back and middle linebacker to defensive end and offensive guard, due to personnel. This inspired me to hit the weight room harder than ever before, leading to massive gains in my size, strength, and speed. The following season, after being postponed due to the pandemic, my team had one of its most successful seasons in school history. We went undefeated in our conference, but unfortunately missed out on the opportunity to pursue a state title due to a shortened season. Through this experience, I learned the value of teamwork and sacrifice on a higher level than ever before. The following year, I transitioned back to linebacker on defense and was named a team captain, which aided in the refinement of my skills as a leader. Unfortunately, we did not have the same success as the season before, but I was able to grow as a player and leader in the process.
At the next level, I would like to find a program which challenges me both academically and athletically. I believe I have the talent to compete at the next level and am excited to continue to work to refine and improve my game. I love hard coaching and am versatile, ready to fill any role asked of me by my next team. I can't wait to begin the grind of college football and continue to grow as a person, student, and athlete through this game which has taught me so much.
