Ever since I can remember I have wanted to play college football. I grew up a son, grandson, and brother to athletes. My grandpa played baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and my uncle was a two-time All-American baseball player at the University of New Mexico. Both of my parents had opportunities to go on and play collegiately, turning down their offers due to other immediate opportunities. Breaking that family mold, my sisters both went on to play college softball at Lansing Community College, one moving on from there to join the Airforce, and the other to continue her athletic career at Saginaw Valley State University. Because I grew up with this lifestyle, I'm a natural competitor with a work ethic to back me. My work ethic has been noticed by any coach I've ever had, and is also the reason I was able to not only make the varsity football team as a freshman, but also start and succeed. I was nominated captain of the varsity wrestling team as a sophomore, due to my high quality leadership and ability to be a good teammate. This was also my first year ever wrestling, where I went on to take 3rd at the district final, allowing me to compete at Regionals. Due to my highly respected character, I was also selected to be the captain of the JV basketball team; as well as captain of the Varsity football team after my standout freshman year, leading the team in workouts and conditioning. Not only was that able to help the coaches notice me, but it helped gain respect from them and my teammates. Every day no matter what sport, I strive to be the best teammate, the most coachable athlete, and the hardest working kid. Not only do I work hard on the field, court, or mat, I strive to excel in the classroom. I've been on the honor roll every year of my schooling career, maintaining high grades while also taking advanced math and science courses, as well as expanding my knowledge in foreign language, having taken Spanish every single year since 2nd grade.
