Family is really important - and that is what football has become for me. Another family. I have been playing football since i was 6 years old. I knew right from the first day that I stepped on the field that I would work my hardest to play at the collegiate level. I know playing football in college is an amazing opportunity, and I would love to be a part of a team at that level.Every single day Im working to improve my skills on the field while also getting in the weight room to become bigger, faster and stronger. For the upcoming football season, I will be a captain for my team as a junior, so I feel I can bring great encouragement and a leadership role to my team. I believe Im a a very coachable athlete and will do everything in my power to become the hardest working athlete and also the hardest working recruit that you will find. I listen and take advice from my coaches to become a better player. In the classroom, I an AVID student. This stands for Advanced Via Individual Determination. Its a college preparatory class that strives to push us to our top potential as students in high school to prepare us for college. Im also very involved and volunteer countless hours in my community with the Oakdale Royalty, Tartan youth football camp, Woodland Hills Church, S.T.L.F (Students Today Leaders forever) Service learning trip, and Y.L.C (Youth Leadership Council). Im involved in a student government organization called Y.I.G (Youth In Government). Also, Im in a Mexican Folkloric dance group which really helps me with cardio and quick feet. I feel I can contribute to the college I go to not only by my football abilities but also my academic abilities. I can also bring a very positive attitude and great leadership toward any college that I attend because of all the activities that I participate in throughout the school year. I want to attend a college where I will be challenged in the classroom and on the football field. I am open to all options and want to find the right college at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to my community and peers. I especially hope to make my family proud, both my immediate family and my future college family.
