There is no offseason in my life. Every day is an opportunity to refine my skills and elevate my game whether it’s in the weight room, in the wrestling room, on the field, or around the track. I structure my day to ensure each activity I spend my time on will make me a better student-athlete.
My day typically consists of practice (football, wrestling, track or ETS training) then afterwards I go to the gym. When I get home, I continuously immerse myself in football. I constantly look for games or highlights from other successful running backs to watch and often practice my footwork and cuts in the backyard. With all of this, I still make sure to set aside two to three hours for schoolwork. This summer I started extra training with GameFace, an intense, elite program in Brooklyn Park, MN. http://gamefacetraining.com/
My 40-time average is 4.4. My max bench press is 255, my max squat is 405 for 3 reps, and my max clean is 255. These are my numbers from the 2017 summer speed and strength camp.
I have a 3.9 GPA, and all through junior high I was an A and B honor roll student. I take high placement classes, AP US History, HP Algebra 2, and I also take HP English. Like in football, I have consistently worked hard at my academics and I believe my success in the classroom is just as important, if not more important than my success on the football field.
On the field, I have a steadfast focus and intuitiveness. I lead by being a good example. I help my teammates to stay positive and I encourage them to do their best and to never take a play off. I feel like I connect with everyone on the team because I can relate to many different people.
Numerous times I’ve been told that I’m easily coachable, in fact my sophomore coach told my dad, “I love that kid. You tell him what to do and he just does it.”
My teammates look to me to be a leader and to make plays-- I rarely let them down. I scored 18 touchdowns my sophomore season while playing in 8 sophomore games, 5 JV games, and 3 varsity games.
