Kyle Hartrup '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kyle Hartrup and I have lived in Farmington Missouri most of my life. I started playing football when I was 6 years old. The first time I played football was flag football in first grade, I was so happy when contact football started in the 3rd grade. I started as a quarter back and loved it. When I was in the 7th grade I grew a lot and the coaches thought it would be best for the team to change me to a wide receiver. I had found my new home on the football field, and did very well. I was willing to do anything to help my team out. When I was in the 9th grade my coach stated that he needed to move me back to quarter back. I took my freshman team and we were 9th grade champs. My 10th grade my coach ask me where I wanted to play and I went back to my wide receiver position and played varsity every since. I am 6 ft. 1 1/2 inch 168 lbs. I run the 40 yard 4.67 seconds. I also am in the student council, pep club and work at the school bank. I work at our civic center as a life guard and teach swim lessons. In my spare time I am with my family.  I was selected to go to Missouri boys state which is a leadership program that teaches you how to take control and lead the people around you. I have been an all state runner in two events. These events include the 4X400 and 4X800. I want to go to college in the south to southeast region. These places are more likely to have the better players and If I am going to play id rather play against the best of the best. Im very open with what type of school I go too I just love the game and want to play. My goals are to make my team better and do anything I can do to make that team better. I want to play as soon as possible so I plan to push anyone ahead of me twice as hard to get there spot from them.
