Blake Tash '20 Recruiting Profile

I started playing football because I had a desire to compete and lead others in the right direction.  I fell in love with the game because success is based on the way you work with your teammates and based on the relationship that you build with your teammates in the time you play with them.  I strongly believe that being a leader on the field is not fulfilled unless you are a leader in the classroom as well.  Excelling in the classroom, and in the community bleeds over into the success that a team will experience on the field.  I have started as a quarterback since my Sophomore year at a 6A school in Joplin Missouri, while keeping a 3.75 GPA.  With that being said I strongly believe in a statement that my quarterback coach has preached to me over the years, "The QB always takes a little less glory, and a lot more blame." For me, being a quarterback is not about the glory, its about helping my teammates, my coaches, and the team be as successful as we can be. While Quarterback is my primary position, I would be willing to play anywhere on the field that my team needs me to play, and I would give 110% effort in everything that I do.  Along with football, I had the opportunity to start on the basketball team since my sophomore year, and run varsity track since my sophomore year as well.  With that being said, I will work with all I have at everything I do, and give 110% at anything that my coaches, teachers, and mentors as me to do.
