My name is Xane Anderson and I am currently a Senior at Marshall High School in Marshall, MO. In junior high I participated in football, wrestling, baseball and competed in the shot and discus in track. When I entered high school I quickly learned that there were many more knowledge based extracurricular activities to participate in. Although I still excelled, my freshman year was challenging for me and I spent much of it trying to determine what clubs and activities were the best fit for me. I found that I loved marketing and agriculture and joined both DECA and FFA, as we as participated on the Trap shooting team through FFA. I have continued to be involved with both organizations throughout my time at MHS. and have held Presidential and Vice Presidential offices within my DECA chapter from Sophomore to Senior year. Along side these two clubs, I have continued to participate and deepen my love of Football. At times it has been a challenge to manage all of these activities while still maintaining a high GPA, but with the support and understanding of my parents, teachers, coaches and employers, I have been able to do so. In addition to scholastic clubs and sports, I have also maintained constant employment since the summer of my 8th grade year. I worked at a summer camp for underprivileged children during my 8th grade and freshman summers. In February of my sophomore year, I was hired at a local small and large animal veterinary clinic and have worked there since . In addition to the Vet clinic, this past summer I worked morning for our local YMCA day camp as a counselor. I care deeply for others and would consider myself a critical thinker. I am determined and hard working in all that I do and strive to perform the best I can in all of my endeavors. I can be extremely hard on myself and am working on knowing when to give myself grace and when to push myself harder. The outdoors provides me with a great escape to re-center my self when needed. I genuinely enjoy academics and learning and look forward to any opportunities that may become available for me. I would like to further my education in both Marketing as well as in the world of Agriculture while still participating in a sport that I love. Your consideration for recruitment is appreciated.
