Growing up in Raytown, Missouri is a great experience for me because I am surrounded by other kids like me who play sports. They play a variety of sports I am unfamiliar with and it encourages me to play sports, like football. My first two seasons of playing football I played for my school. My teammates were taller than me, but I wasn’t discouraged. My uncle always told me if I put more effort in my training and in the game than they do, then the height doesn't matter. Every practice and every game I played my hardest to help my team win games. Even though we didn't win all of our games it was an awesome experience because now I know what it takes to be the one of the best which that is putting in hard work and staying focused. This would also make me a better person because of the work ethic that I put in and learning from the ups and downs I had to go through to get better. I have a very awesome support system that comes from my family. They believe that I am able to do anything I want in life as long as I work hard for it. Football and my family is the reason why I do my best in the classrooms. When I work to get good grades, I am able to participate and play in all the games. Also, when I work hard to earn good grades I am earning a better education. My uncle helps me too by helping me condition to get stronger and built in the workout room with the weights. I know that to get better, I have to work hard. I have to challenge myself not just against the other players and their limits, but I have to challenge myself against my own limits and push myself farther each day because I want to grow and be the best. Football is something that I love. I am really thankful that God has given me everything I need to be successful and to get better in the sport I love to play.
