Personal Statement

Dear College Coaches,

Hello, my name is Matthew Sinnott. I am aspiring to be a student-athlete at the collegiate level. Ever since I was a little kid, I've always dreamed of playing college football and this is my chance to do so. Football has always given me freedom from the difficulties of life. Running around on the football field, tackling other players, is something I love to do. As a football player, I love to be a leader on the team. Playing middle linebacker helps me achieve this. Making sure everyone knows what we are playing on defense and making sure they are in the correct spots is something that feels so natural to me. During games, I leave everything out on the field. I play my heart out every single down and never take a play off. I believe that if you are going to be a leader, you have to lead by example, and that is what I love to do. Growing up, I have always played sports. I started playing baseball at the age of four and continue playing to this day.  I started playing basketball at the age of five and just stopped this past winter.  I played soccer from the age of three until the age of eleven, but most importantly, I started playing football at the age of ten and hope to play into my twenties. I believe that school is very important. I take pride in my academics and make sure I am always a good student. I currently have a 3.85 GPA out of a 4.0. I believe that school should come first because ultimately that is what is most important in my life. Finally, I hope you take the time to read through my profile and consider emailing, texting, or calling me.

Thank you,

Matthew Sinnott

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
