Lucas Ramm '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'10 200 pound Safety,Outside linebacker,athlete looking to take my game to the next level.  I am a Three year varsity starter on offense and a two year starter on Defense. I earned All District my senior year and All district honorable mention my sophomore year for my outstanding play on both sides of the ball. I hold school records in weightlifting in bench press, squat and my three lift total, I continue to excel in the weight room and plan to break the records I set again this spring.    I have many strengths, one of them being my leadership skills.  I lead by example and by verbal encouragement.  I am also ready to follow the leaders on my team and learn from them.   I have a relentless work ethic. My coaches gave me the nick-name "Workhorse".  In addition I am a quick learner,  Often times I would change positions on a weekly basis based upon where my team needed me. I am looking for a football program that will help make me the best player I can be.  I want a coaching staff that is focused on not just building strong football players but successful students and people as well.  In addition to football I am a Varsity Swimmer.  I have qualified for state the last two years and last year along with three of my teammates set the school record for the 200 freestyle relay.  I am working harder than ever to qualify for state for a third year in a row.

 My hard work and success does not stop when I come off the field.  I am also very successful in the classroom.  I maintain a 3.25 unweighted GPA while taking Honors and AP classes.  This keeps me in the top 10% of my class of 274 where I am ranked 18th. 

I have worked hard to be well rounded in high school by being involved.  A few of my extracurricular activities include obtaining the rank of Eagle in the Boys Scouts of America, National Honor Society President, Senior Drum Major of Bensons concert band, marching band and Pep band. Also I had the privilege in representing Benson at American Legion Cornhusker Boys State this past summer.
