After high school, I attended the University of Nevada as a quarterback and preferred walk-on. After a coaching change and new offense I decided to transfer and find a new school where I could have a better chance to compete. I did not appear in any game at Nevada so I do not have any playing statistics, although I feel that I became a much better quarterback and athlete during my time at the school. I completed 60 credits in the University of Nevada Electrical Engineering program and maintained a 3.6 GPA. I am currently taking Summer Classes at Golden West College and participating in practice. I am able to transfer to a 4 year college at any time.
In high school, I was the starting Varsity quarterback and team Captain and led my team to an undefeated season in our division. Although we did not win the state title, we had a very successful season. We won the Northern Nevada D-1A title, the first time we have been the outright league champion since 1978. As a team, we won more consecutive games than our high school football team has won since the 1970s - 10 consecutive wins.
Individually, my varsity season stats were 1754 yards passing, 118 for 194 (61 percent completion percentage) 20 TDs and 2 INTs. I also had 347 yards rushing and 6 rushing TDs. I had a QBR of 120. My completion percentage, QBR, TD to INT ratio, QB rushing yards and number of completions are all records for our high school. I finished with 2100 total yards, and either first or second in every QB category for the league. But my biggest honor was being named Northern Nevada D-1A Offensive player of the Year.
After two seasons with UNR, I know I can complete and help a program win at the college level.
