Personal Statement

I love the game of Football and basketball to the point where I study each sport beyond what the normal person does.  My passion, hard work and dedication is always seen on the field and court,  I always get complimented by others for leaving it all out there.  I strive to be a leader so that I can be a captain of whatever team I'm on so I can play a bigger role in leading us to victory.  I like to laugh and have a good time with teammates but I know when to be serious.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • Under Armour All Star Football 2010
  • 11/01/10 to 12/12/10
  • I made the NH Football All Star team and we went to Florida to compete in the Under Armour football tournament. Played Wide Receiver making some nice critical catches to keep drives going. Also played Linebacker and had a knack for seeing where plays were going and stopping the RB before and substantial gains were made.

Training

  • Vertimax
  • 1 year
  • I've start off my freshman year of training by going to the weight room almost everyday to work out and I've just started Vertimax training to increase my vertical jump and speed. Videos of me doing the vertimax training should be up soon!
  • weight training
  • 1 year
  • After ending my Sophomore year, I make the JV basketball team to work on my speed and cardio during the off season. After basket ball season I started football training which led up to the start of training camp. I try to work out everyday, "I take no days off"-Giavanni Ruffin, I want to make myself better everyday. Our new team motto is to "Win the Day" Our focus is on winning what is right in front of us vs. looking to the future and thinking we want a winning season. If we can take one day at a time and give that day all we can, we'll be successful. This is a dream that I am determined to make a reality to become the best football player I can be. I hope to play Division I football for a big college in a couple years.

Additional Sports

  • Basketball
  • 1 year
  • Freshman Team
  • I made my freshman basketball team and made it to the championship, but lost by 4. It was a good hard fought game. I rebounded very well, played excellent defense, had my share of points and was hustling all over the floor.
  • Basketball
  • 2 years
  • Junior Varsity Team
  • Sophomore JV basketball allowed me to keep up my cardio-vascular during the off season and work on my speed off the line. I had fun meeting 2 objectives at one time, getting better at basketball and my hand / eye coordination and my speed up and down th
