AJ Arroyo '23 Recruiting Profile

Generation by generation, football has had a special place in my family. I was 7 years old when I first started football. Every time I step on the field  I grow to love and appreciate the sport more and more. As I continue playing in high school and college I promised myself to work hard, push myself, grind for it and love it every single day. Not only do I love football but I do it for my family to make them proud.

With football I learned self control and leadership playing my position as a middle linebacker. Over time many people told me I was never gonna be as good as I am today. I use that negative to work harder and be a better football player. To this day I strive to get better because you got to earn it if you really want it. Growing up I moved around a lot and was never in one place for to long, but with each team I played for I worked for that starting position and made sure I had it each time no matter who the person ahead of me was. I’m a very friendly, goofy, funny and just overall approachable person, but the moment I step on the field I play with aggression and consistency. From the very first kick off to the last whistle of the game.
