Hello and thank you for taking the time to read about me! I am a 15-year-old sophomore from Albuquerque, NM. My passion lies in football, a sport that has played a significant role in my life since I was 7 years old! As a freshman, I achieved the honor of securing a starting position on the varsity team, specializing as a defensive player, specifically as a Defensive End. Recently, I was proud to be named the All-District Defensive Player. This experience not only strengthened my commitment to the game but also played a key role in shaping my future. Finding purpose and joy on the field, I am dedicated to enhancing my skills by attending multiple camps during summer breaks and working with a personal strength and conditioning coach on a daily basis. Currently, I am an active participant in the Varsity Powerlifting and Varsity Track and Field teams.
In addition to my accomplishments in football, I have made significant strides in powerlifting. Over the past year, I have increased my bench press max from 140 lbs to 205 lbs, my deadlift max from 335 lbs to 445 lbs, and my squat max from 245 lbs to 335 lbs.
In track and field, I recently won my first medal by achieving 5th place in discus at the 2024 New Mexico State Track and Field Meet. This follows my previous success as the discus district champion during my freshman year, which secured me a spot at the 2022-2023 New Mexico State Track and Field meet.
As a young boy, I dabbled in various sports and developed a deep appreciation for both basketball and football. While basketball is no longer a current pursuit, my love for the game persists. Beyond the realm of sports, I first find my identity in Christ and I love to attend and serve at church. I am currently undecided about which field I want to pursue in my college career, but I am eager to explore my options and find my path.
If you were to ask my coaches or teachers about me, they would likely mention my ability to connect with others, my coachability, and my humility. I value relationships, thrive in a team environment, and approach both victories and challenges with a grounded, humble, and modest attitude.
As I navigate my high school journey, I eagerly anticipate the opportunities and discoveries that lie ahead. Football, powerlifting, and track and field will undoubtedly play pivotal roles, and I remain open to the opportunities that God will bring into my path.
