Hello,
My name is Derek Victorino Jr. “DJ”. I come from The Pueblo of Laguna, a small reservation in New Mexico. I am in the class of 2025. Growing up in a small town we didn’t have many boys that joined so I’ve had to play many positions. I started playing football in the second grade. I’ve trained for the position of QB and LB most of the time. I’ve played many other positions such as RB, CB, SS, P and K.
My collegiate goals are to finish college with a degree and to be the best contribution I can for my team. Good characteristics that make me a good candidate are discipline, respect and being coachable. I’m passionate about doing whatever it takes to help the team in any way possible. Being a student-athlete I always put my education before my athletics. I think that makes me different from other recruits. I’m also a fast learner with very good work ethics and I will push myself to be a better athlete and person.
