Personal Statement
My name is Zane Walker and i am a senior, I will graduate May 2012 from Loving High School in Loving, NM. I have participated in every sport since the 7th grade. I am 5'6" and i weigh 170 llbs. I excercise and lift weights as much as I can. I am very healthy. I have loved football for as long as I can remember. I have always been a running back and have known that I wanted to play college football since I was in 7th grade. In the 10th grade, I ran the 40 yard dash in 4.29 using a stop watch. I have recieved many awards and have achieved many obsticles in my athletic career. I have the upmost respect for my family, friends, school, other schools, athletes and there families. I work hard in everything I do, I give 110% to succeed in my studies and in my sports. When I set my mind to what it is I am doing, I do not stop until I know I have done my best. I get along very well with others, I make friends easily. I have the upmost respect in sportsmanship which I've learned early in the school I attend now. We never win much, but I play hard and I know I have done my best. I then tell myself I have to try harder next time. My school doesn't have many kids involved in our sports program. I feel I can do better, sometimes I don't get the oppurtinity to show my full potential. I played Varsity in 8th grade during the second half of the season. I have been a Varsity starter as a running back from 9th grade to present. I have had many awards, including State Championships. I have been awarded All Distict, All State Special Teams Kick off returns, Acedemic awards. Right now I stand in first place with the most rushing yards in New Mexico High School Football. I would like to show you as a coach, that I am a team member and as a student, my full potential acedemically and as an athlete. I am a member of NCSA and NCAA. I can offer your school and your team my knowledge, my ambition, my respect and my unconditional desire of the sport. I feel I have the ability to play as a Freshman, to grow and learn with you as a coach and as a team and that you will teach and guide me as an individual and as an athlete, I want the oppurtunity to learn more about the game and to show you that my heart and soul is about the game, about my team and about my school. As my career path, I have chosen Technical Engineering. I am seeking first, a college that offers my career path, second is if your athletic department will give me an oppurtunity to play football for you. The size of the school is not an issue. I am looking for colleges in the areas of Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, California. Those are the top four, but still open minded to other areas. I want to follow my career path become a team player of my most desired sport "football". I ask that you consider me as an athlete to represent your Athletic Program and as a student of your College.
