Joe Emmel '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joe Emmel. I'm 6'0 tall, 205 lbs/ and I run a 4'7 40 yard dash. As a Sophomore I started varsity in every aspect of the game, whether it has been special teams, offense, or defense. The same went for my Junior year. I started on kickoff, kick return, as a strong guard, and as a middle linebacker(my main position). To a team I can offer hard work, passion, and determination. I never give up on a play and always try to get in on the tackle. I love the game and was brought up playing and living around football, having two successful football players as older brothers. I have no real preference to which type of school or what division I play in, as long as I can be a part of the team and when the season ends, I can have reassurance to the fact that I helped the team get to the places it went. I am also proud of my academic scores I averaged an 89 throughout my junior year. I'll be graduating with an advanced regents diploma. I haven't really decided on my major but a possible major could be physical education. I have two older brothers attending college and when applying for the FAFSA we have qualified for federal aid/grants. Every semester we've qualified for subsidized & unsubsidized loans. In NY we've also qualified for the Tuition Assistance Program.
