Personal Statement

With my parents not letting me play football until eighth grade, I had years to prepare myself both mentally and physically for the game that I loved.  I grew up in a football family and being held off the field for so many years fed into my desire to play.  My father was a Division 3 All- American football player at running back and coached many years at the high school varsity level, while my uncle played Division 1 football and continued his career into the NFL for a number of seasons at inside linebacker.  From the time I was 8 years old, I worked on developing technique and footwork with my father and uncle in my backyard to prepare me for my future in football.  Through the years my family and I have invested in preparing me for football and life, they consistently reinforced the importance of being a leader rather than a follower, having an unbreakable will to win, and to be the hardest working individual in the gym, on the field, and in the classroom.  My greatest strengths are my continuous desire to improve, my understanding that you must never produce anything other than your best, and it is never appropriate to give anything but 100% in every aspect of life.  Through years of preparation and dedication, I have conditioned myself to be the best athlete and man I can be.  I believe I have what it takes to continue my football career to the next level and look forward to giving it my best shot.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
