Alex Sloan '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'0" rising senior from Raleigh, NC. I have played high level club soccer as a goalie for years and only in high school did I develop an interest in kicking for my school football team. What started as an interest in helping our football team developed into a passion and desire to be a placekicker at the college level, and possibly beyond. My coaches feel that one of my greatest assets as a kicker is my composure under pressure. I've been told that this composure, combined with my coachability, strong leg, and accuracy, are the essential ingredients of a successful kicker. I want to be the best at what I do and am willing to put in the work to get there. I have attended several kicking camps including IMG Academy, Chris Sailer's Kicking Camp, Ray Guy's Kicking Camp and Carol White's Kicking Camp. I know the pressures on a student-athlete and access to tutoring, if needed, is an important consideration for me. At the end of my junior year, my cumulative high school GPA is 3.526 and I've made the A/B honor roll. My top priority is finding a school where I can be successful both academically and athletically.
