I'm currently in my junior year of high school where I plan on continuing to excel in the classroom and on the field. I currently play defensive end for the Goshen Warriors, last year we made it to the second round of playoffs. I'm a two year starter at defensive end for the junior varsity team as a freshman and sophomore. In the 2021 season, I made a total of 11.5 sacks in five games due to COVID we had a shortened five game season. One of my biggest attributes to my position is my ability to react fast and get off the line fast, typically faster than most tackles and tight ends. I have excelled in the speed/rush game, where in our current defense my main assignment is to force the quarterback out of the pocket or run them down from behind. I play very aggressive football and I'm willing to take on whoever is lined up against me. I have more to give and I am willing to answer any questions you may have. My older brother has gone on to play football at the collegiate level and I aspire to follow in his footsteps.
During the 2021 season in week five I tore my left meniscus in a game against Blanchester in the 3rd quarter. I played the remainder of the game with a torn meniscus as I thought I had just stepped wrong and tweaked my knee. The next morning after game film review I ran our standard 3- 400 meters sprints and made my required time on all three.
October 7, 2021 I had my meniscus scoped and repaired, as of November 12, 2021 I have been released by my Ortho to return to full activities without restrictions. Dr. McClung contributed my fast recovery to my dedication to rehabbing the injury and my continued commitment to physical fitness.
Prior to my knee injury the defense gave up a total of 31.7 points per game after I was injured the defense gave up an average of 48.9 points per game.
