Starting varsity as a high school freshman was a huge accomplishment. Losing in the first round of the playoffs my sophomore year was a huge disappointment, albeit a great learning experience. Losing that playoff game helped me grow as a player and a teammate. That experience alone has made me realize there is more work to be done. It has made me focus my efforts on becoming a better and more efficient safety, capable of accomplishing whatever is asked of me as a football player.
I am fortunate to be part of an awesome football program with a great reputation and a tenured coaching staff that has had a positive influence on me. I know the meaning of commitment, leadership, and hard work. I do not give up and am willing to make sacrifices when necessary for the program. Those qualities define everything I do in life. Through those qualities and my natural talent, I believe I will be an asset to any college and football program. I’m looking for a program that will fit my personal character as I envision my college years to be a period of personal growth both academically and athletically. Most importantly, I will always choose to lead by example.
