Jacob Williams '17 Recruiting Profile

Football is more than a game to me. It's a lifestyle. By being a football player, I'm saying I choose to work harder than everyone else, do the things that most people aren't willing to, and avoid the things that most people try to pressure you in to.  My father and my coaches always instilled this attitude in me.  I've always been undersized, coming into high school at 5'9 120.  But I've never let that get in the way, it's just one more obstacle I can overcome. I was the third string quarterback that year, never seeing a single snap all season.  I had people tell me to quit, I had people bully me, but it just fueled the fire.  The next year I beat out both the quarterbacks who were starting over me for the jv squad, and I set a school junior varsity record for most completions and most passing yards in a season.  Now in my grade 12 year at 5'10 170, I feel just as confident, and hope to lead Meadowvale Secondary to our first tier one senior state title.  Footballs been good to me, and I don't want it to end after high school.
