My name is Jason Walling, Jr. (go by "Junior"). I am a 6'1" 225 pound Junior at McNary High School, who starts at both LB and RB. I was honored to be recognized as 1st Team All-League LB, 1st Team All-League RB, and named to the All USA Mid-Valley Team as an LB and RB. I have 31 consecutive Varsity starts, Freshman thru Junior seasons.
I work year round with my sports performance trainer where I focus on speed, agility, and individual strength. I am a two-sport athlete that plays football and basketball. I am currently preparing to compete at the Under Armour All-America Camp Series in March 2019 and The Opening in May 2019.
My collegiate goals include the ability to enroll in an accredited Health Care, Sports Science, or Engineering program, and attend a university where I can play football for a program that believes in me, and what I can bring to their team. I am a versatile football player that plays to win, provides leadership to my teammates in the midst of adversity, passionate about the game, determined, play with aggressiveness, tough mentally and physically, and am very coachable. I aspire to play college football just like my dad, who played at Oregon State University in the early 1990's.
As a student-athlete, it's important to recognize that "student" comes first. As such, I strive to achieve excellent grades and currently have 3.95 GPA (4.0 Weighted). I also look for opportunities to volunteer in my community such as leadership clubs (e.g. Junior National Honor Society, etc.) and volunteering at my school and youth athletic events.
To prospective college coaches, I am a dedicated student-athlete that not only works hard to improve my own performance, but also lead and motivate my teammates to train harder and compete at their highest level. I have a strong and consistent work ethic and hope that I have all the characteristics you look for in your prospective student-athlete. I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about the academic and athletic opportunities your school provides.
