As a two-sport athlete, competing in both football and basketball, I have learned the amount of hard work and dedication that is required to be successful. My commitment to sports has allowed me to be a major contributor to my school's two district championships in football and one district championship in basketball. In pursuit of these championships, I have been recognized for my contributions by area coaches and sports writers by being selected All-Region, District All Star, and All-State in football as well as region player of the year and District All Star in basketball. I am committed and driven to continually improving my physical and technical aspects of these sports while finding time to excel academically.
I enjoy playing both sports, but football is my main interest. My freshmen year was cut short due to a broken collar bone. Being sidelined and not able to compete was difficult, but I used this time to support my teammates and grow personally. This setback made me realize how important football is to me and how much I am going to miss it someday. Competing in football and attaining a college degree after high school are my near-term goals moving forward.
