My name is Walker Carney and I play football for Honesdale High school in Honesdale, PA. I am 6'5” and weigh 280 pounds. As a 9th grader I had the unique opportunity of moving up from the freshman team to play on the Junior Varsity and Varsity team. I started Junior Varsity as an offensive tackle and defensive tackle along with getting some playing time on Friday nights in Varsity games. Through this experience I have gained the knowledge and necessary skill set to play at a higher level. I am a team player and strive to work hard; my strong listening skills and attention to detail keep me balanced and measured. I commit to practice, and play with great passion, thereby, giving my very best to the team and coaches. I wish to attend a college with a good academic program and still be able to play football at the next level. On December 6, 2017 I was listed as one of the Lackawanna County Division II All-Star players. This year I have earned a spot as team captain. I aspire to pursue a career in Sports Medicine. Thank you for your time and attention regarding this statement.
