Personal Statement

I am a great athlete and only try to become better both physically and mentally. I work hard and prove myself to my coaches and family. I am very good at baseball, but love football more. I have passion and commitment for the game and only dream about playing college football. My goal is to work harder and turn my dream into reality.  As I mature, my character also builds and I become a stronger leader.

Last season I started JV football as quarterback, but only had 4 games. A senior football quarterback came back from an injury and got the role. He didn't get any better from previous years, but politics decided the starting role.  I did play some defense during varsity games and suffered my first concussion.

I didn't enjoy standing on the sidelines during varsity knowing I was better than the quarterback playing. The coach even complained about the quarterback in practice or made fun of his mistakes. I guess I  learned to put this past season behind me as I am now hungry to play football as a junior in 2020.  It is time to put the bench time  behind,  build up my team, and just play to the best of my ability.

Because of my late birthday I could have stayed down and played my age group, but I chose to move up and prove myself to the rest of the competition. I am still one of the top pitchers in the league, and great catcher, and play short stop well. I also have a few homeruns and lots of doubles and singles.
