For most people, football is nothing more than a sport, but for me it is everything but a sport, its a brotherhood and a lifestyle. I began to look at football this way during the off season of my freshman year. That off season the most inspirational coach I've ever had passed away from cancer. Coach left us with one final message and that was to Finish the Mission, our Mission. From that day forward it's like I discovered an even bigger fire inside me which has sent my motivation to work harder into overdrive so that I can one day proceed to the next level of play. I believe that I have the ability, skill, and interest to learn new things to help better myself and whatever team I play for. My overall goal in college is to prove that i will be a valuable addition to any team playing at the next level. I've been involved with football since I was 8 years old in Pop Warner League. From Pop Warner until high school i played running back, but once high school came i was converted to an outside line backer. While playing OLB I was the second string running back. This season I am slated to be the starting running back which is the position where I will have the most positive impact for the team. Although I love the running back position and having the ball in my hands, my coaches have always told me I am a fast learner and an excellent athlete so I am not locked into playing one position. I just hope to help my team improve regardless of my role on the field.
