Before rowing, I played soccer for eight years. In eighth grade, I decided to try rowing. I rowed varsity for PNRA Mercer for three years. Although I loved rowing, I was interested in coxing last winter. After attending the 2018 Sparks Consulted Winter Coxswain Camp, I decided to switch to be a coxswain. After I finished my winter season as a rower, I made the switch. I learned a lot about the proper rowing technique and coxswain calls throughout my three years of rowing that I am able to apply as a coxswain now. I love coxing for PNRA Mercer because of the positive, yet competitive atmosphere. My team pushes me to be my best self because their hard-work and dedication motivates me. I finished my first fall season as a coxswain by placing 30th in the Wv8 category at the head of the Charles in Mercer's 2v8.

- I train with my team in the winter 3 days a week at Hamilton Cross Fit. Our trainer used to be on the National team and she guides us through different exercises to build the muscles we will need during Spring sprint season.
