My name is Matt Hosking and I attend Bayard Rustin HIgh School in West Chester, Pennsylvania. I am a rising senior and the starting Tight End / Defensive End for my varsity football team. I have excelled at football from the days of my grade school CYO team where I made the transition from lineman to quarterback my eighth grade year, rushed for over 1,000 yards in five games and made the archdiocesan all star team, to now starting every game playing both sides of the ball this past year for Coach St. Clair. My team finished 10-0 this year during the regular season. I completed the year with 10.5 sacks, numerous tackles, and multiple catches on offense. I was also named to the All-Chesmont Second Team on both offense and defense. I excel in the classroom by taking advanced placement and honors classes. I have consistently been on the honor roll and was elected to the National Junior Honor Society. Outside of football and school I have also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout which has taught me the values of hard work and self-motivation. I feel that all my experiences both on and off the football field have prepared me to play college football at any level, as well as face the challenges of being a college athlete. I feel that I will be an academic and athletic asset to the school I eventually attend.
