Hello Coaches,
My name is Preston Brodd and I am eager and excited to start this academic and athletic journey. I attend Mt. Hope High School in the small town of Bristol, in the small state of Rhode Island. I have been playing tackle football since the age of ten. Currently, I am on the varsity team as a starting safety and secondary wide receiver. I have become known as “ The Freshman” and "PB6". I have competed in a competitive tackle football league and played for the Rhode Island Pride Team as a starting wide receiver and starting outside linebacker. I continue to strive to maintain my academic grades of making honors each quarter. I have earned my junior black belt through many years of dedication and determination at Earnie’s American Martial Art Center. Through this achievement I learned many great values. Two of which, that are most important to me are; respect and self discipline. I carry these life values from the mat, to the field, and to the classroom.
Additionally, I enjoy being a team player on and off the field. I share this because I’m repeatedly told this by coaches, parents, and teachers. I honestly don’t notice it, probably due to that it is my normal everyday behavior. I enjoy the team camaraderie, ...actually I love it! My career goal is to be apart of a professional football organization, wether I’m a player on the field, coach on the sidelines, or an administrative position. I love the game of football and in one way or another I want to be apart of it for life.
