Mikel Pires '13 Recruiting Profile

People who know me would tell you that I am a hard worker and reliable.I am the kind of person who is always available when someone needs guidance or support. I know a great deal about football and training and like sharing my insight/ knowledge with my peers. Physically, I am 6'1' and weigh 240. At the present time I can bench 250 LBS, can squat 405 and can run a 40 in 4.9 seconds. The qualities that I bring to the table are an ability to adapt easily to given situations. I can play multiple positions ( although I exceed at guard and nose tackle). I bring enthusiasm and a competitive attitude to each and every game that i play. My ultimate goal is to become an anesthesiologist. I would prefer to attend a school in the New England or the Northeast, primarily because I would like to remain moderately close to my home and family. The reason that college is so important to me( beyond having a good career) is that I will be the first person in my family to graduate from college. It is important that my family be proud of me and my accomplishments. At the present time, the biggest problem is money. I am not sure if we will be able to afford college at this time. Hopefully I'll be able to paY for college through a combination of scholarships, work and from lones.I would like to think that as I develop I could eventually play at a professional level.
