My name is Gian Calise and I have played offensive line for 5 years. Coming in as a freshman I weighed 155 lbs and throughout the past 3 years I have worked hard in the weight room to get up to 275 lbs and currently standing at 6'2" while still keeping speed. Due to a broken ankle and high ankle sprain in the 4th game of my junior year, I missed 6 games but came back for the playoffs. Although it was a disappointing end to the season with a loss in the championship, I left it all on the field and and was happy to be able to finish the season able to play. I consider myself to be very dedicated and hardworking which is why I have been voted captain for this coming season, in which I hope to help lead La Salle through another great season. I've always gotten good grades and hope that football will help me get into a very good school academically where I plan to major in engineering. I hope to pursue a career in the engineering or applied maths and sciences field. I think I would be a good asset to any team that I would have the privilege of playing for.
