Hello, my name is Blake Santos. Thank you for checking out my profile here are some things you might want to know about me. I started running at the age of 9. I was influenced by my grandfather who participated in numerous triathlons and marathons. Every time I would travel to watch him compete, the more it made me want to compete and run myself. My first year of cross-country I qualified for USATF Junior Olympics Nationals in Myrtle Beach. I finished 19th in the country with a time of 11:01 for 1.8 miles. From that point on is were my running career took off. Although running is a major part of my life, I respect my grades and academics equally as much. I'm willing to dedicate myself and put in the long hours of work that nobody else is willing to do to separate myself from the rest. I'm also willing to step up when times become difficult and show my leadership, I'm a team player. I look out not only for what's best for my needs, but what's best for our teams needs even more. These are all reasons I believe I would be a great fit for your program and a great asset to your team.
