Rhett Vavra '21 Recruiting Profile

Dear Prospective Coach:

My name is Rhett Vavra and I am a hard-working multi-sport athlete that wishes to participate in football and track at the university level. I am 6' 150 lbs. and I am a strong student with an overall average of 90% (3.8 gpa).  

I have played receiver on football teams at the high school, provincial, and national level here in Canada. I play both 11 and 12 man football. My 11 man team travels to the United States every year and we play teams from across the US and Mexico.

I won a national u-18 championship  last summer as a starting receiver for team Saskatchewan.  I am currently ranked as the number one receiver in Saskatchewan and in the top 10 in Canada for my grad year of 2021. In my Junior year last fall, I won the Most Valuable Player award for the South Sask football league. I also led the league in receptions, receiving yards and scoring.  I was also named Offensive MVP for my Provincial Select Team in 2018.

In recent combines I have set several records. I ran the fastest L-Drill time in Football Sask history at 6.83 (laser) and ran the fastest Pro-Drill time in Canada 3.99 (HT) for the National CFC Prospect game.  I also won five of the six events for my class of 2021 at the most recent Football Sask Combine.

In track, I am the current Saskatchewan U-16 High School Boys Aggregate Track Champion. I won medals in the 200m, 400m, Long Jump and Triple Jump as well as 4x100m and 4x400m relays. 

My main attributes are my work ethic, athleticism, and desire to win.  My coaches always comment on how they appreciate my attitude and effort. I am also a strong leader and have been named as a team captain for my football teams the past three years.
