Friends and family helped me get into football at the early age of 8 years old. After my 1st year, I was moved to quarterback, and my interest in football increased. For several years, we did not win many games. However, this helped me learn how to fight through adversity, along with the values of playing together as a team. Dealing with adversity has helped me become mentally strong. I also learned that playing youth football is more about learning the fundamentals and less about wins or losses. After 2 successful seasons in middle school, I am prepared to take the next steps to Junior Varsity and Varsity. The fundamentals I've learned will help me further my career improve my skills at quarterback.
I understand the importance of academics. I strive to do well in high school in order to prepare me for college. Although I have a goal to play football on the next level, getting an education is a top priority. It is important to prepare for life outside of football. I do not know what degree I will pursue, but I will look for colleges that will be a good fit for me both academically and educational.
