The starting highlight of my high school career had to be during my Sophomore year. Being one of the top team leaders, and being undefeated in the region was a great feeling. I truly feel that I developed as a student-athlete the most during my Junior year when I wasn’t considered a top team leader and wasn’t the same undefeated team the previous year. During my Junior season, I had to go back to my fundamentals of who I truly was as a student, athlete, son, and friend. I had to re-think what made me that top team leader and what it’s going to take for me to compete at the college level.
I’m grateful enough to be going through these experiences now so that I can be a developed, prepared, and experienced ready to perform student-athlete. I’ve learned what the true meaning of teamwork, hard work, and commitment really is. I’m looking for a program that will satisfy me athletically and academically. Also will do so without putting the financial burden upon my parents. I know that not only do I have the talent and know it takes to compete but also the leadership, work-ethic and integrity to make an impact on your program. If you give me an inch, I’ll take it for a mile.
