To continue to learn and improve from the best, in addition to training received from my excellent high school coaches, I participated in the Football University (FBU) football camps where I learn skills, knowledge, and techniques from professional NFL Football Players and NFL Coaches. I also received invitations from various college football coaches and participate in their summer skills camps, development camps, or showcase camps. I received training from NFL All-Pro Defensive End William Fuller.
2013 Season Summary:
My name is Bryan McKay. I attend Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, TN. I play the following positions: Defensive End, Outside Linebacker, Special Teams Running Back/Full Back. I love playing football and helping my team in any way. I had a great season. At Defensive End, I had 5 quarterback sacks, 15 tackles for a loss, I blocked a field goal. As a Running Back on Special Teams, I achieved a First Down running the ball on a Fake Punt, and this set my team up to score the winning touchdown. I helped my team win the District Championship and achieve the best regular season record and second best overall record in school history.
Top Gun:
On Sunday, 6/16/2013, I achieved "Top Gun" as one of the Top 5 Defensive Ends at the Football University (FBU) Nashville (June 14-16, 2013 Southeast Regional for 6 states). I will be participating in the Invitation-Only Football University (FBU) Top Gun 2013 High School Camp on July 18-20 2013, at Dublin Jerome High School. Football University (FBU) Experience - Defensive End 2013:
To continue to learn and improve from the best, in addition to training received from my excellent high school coaches, I participated in the Football University (FBU) football camps where I learn skills, knowledge, and techniques from professional NFL Football Players and NFL Coaches. I also received invitations from various college football coaches and participate in their summer skills camps, development camps, or showcase camps. I received training from NFL All-Pro Defensive End William Fuller.
In June 2012, I completed the Football University (FBU) for Running Backs and was a Runner Up for the Top Gun Selection.
On June 14-16, 2013, completed the Football University (FBU) for Defensive Ends (DE) and was trained by former 4 time NFL All-Pro Defensive End (DE) William Fuller. Coach William Fuller also won two USFL Super Bowls, and recorded 100.5 sacks becoming one of the few players in NFL history to record more than 100 sacks. Bryan learned many advanced Defensive End techniques and expert level fundamentals from former NFL Pro Bowler Coach William Fuller.
Upcoming Junior Year:
I am a rising junior Varsity Player switching from Running Back to Defensive End and Tight End because my team needs my size on the Defensive and Offensive Lines. Therefore, when I am playing the DE and TE positions, I have strength, speed, agility, and quickness developed while training and playing the Running Back and Fullback positions for several years.
In Middle School, and on JV as a Freshman, in addition to playing Running Back, I also played Nose Guard, Nose Tackle, Defensive Tackle, and Defensive End and led my teams in tackles, sacks, blocked passes, fumbles caused, fumbles recovered, and safeties.
During my Sophomore Year, on Varsity, my coaches started to convert me from Running Back to a Defensive End because of my size, quickness, and strength that our Varsity Team needed at the Defensive End position.
I also have experience receiving and calling the Defensive Plays in the Defensive Huddle.
I am a hard worker in the weight room, at practice, studying my playbook, in the classroom, and while supporting community volunteer events.
I have a Black Belt in Tang Soo Do (Korean Martial Arts) and I have won many trophies in karate tournaments for sparring, breaks, and forms.
My father played football at Penn State University (PSU) and ran the 40 yard dash in 4.40 seconds. I have inherited my father's speed and the height from my mother's side. I am young and still growing and may get taller, while growing closer to my Grandfather's height of 6'9".
I am very excited about continuing to develop while in high school, and then, playing football in college.
Please contact me if you can use a great student in the classroom, a high coachable, strong and talented player on the football field, a great team player to my team mates, and a player that believes in representing his college with the highest level of character and responsibility.
Sincerely,
Bryan McKay
