Due to my momma's support through all of my years of sports, one of the best things I learned, which is also one of the biggest strengths that I have as a person, student and athlete, is that I am very coachable. I have learned to take in that constructive criticism because it will make me better. I have listened to feedback from my coaches and driven myself to take that feedback and apply it where ever they have me playing. I have learned to play various different positions both on the offensive and defensive line. I have even been thrown into positions during games that I have never played or practiced. My coaches just told me what they needed and I pushed to do my best because they called on me and had enough faith that I would do my absolute best during their time of need. Even though I feel that I play better as a defensive end, I will play where my team needs me to play because it is not just about me succeeding individually-- it is about my team succeeding as a whole.
I will admit that I have made mistakes but as my momma always reminds me, "It isn't the mistakes that people often pay the most attention to, but it is your actions directly after the mistake is made...that is just as important." This is a constant reminder to keep on working and pushing through because if you are not pushing through you are not working hard enough...and if you are not working hard enough you will never push through.
