Because most football coaches tend to look for taller players, I have become used to working harder to prove I was a better quarterback. I am aware that coaches look for at least two of the three - size, speed, and arm strength. Although I understand that height is an easy first impression, it doesn't always mean they are better players. Being the underdog, I have had to learn to fight and earn my position. I am grateful that God has given me the chance to play football for Cleveland High School. This team has been a true answer to prayer. I will also forever be grateful for Coach Marty Wheeler who believed in me and allowed me the opportunity to lead the team. He pushes me to be a smarter player, a better leader and is always challenging me and my abilities. Growing up I got to play several years of flag football and loved when I could pick a defense apart. I practice, work with private coaches, and attend camps during the offseasons and have noticed improvement in my footwork, power and accuracy. I love sports in general and have played basketball and ran track in school, AAU, and at the Boys and Girls Club. My family loves to watch NFL, NCAA, and NBA for fun. I have always taken pride in doing my best in school. During middle school, I received the Colt Corral Award for maintaining all A's throughout middle school, became a member of the Circle of Champions for my academic performance in high school, and currently have a 3.9 grade point average taking honors classes. I am a Christian and involved with my youth group at church. I have some funny friends who are all extremely smart. My family has taught me to take pride in all that I do and I strive to live out what one of my coaches would say, "How you do anything is how you do everything." I can promise that you will be proud of your decision to add me to your roster.
