My family and I were born in Ethiopia. Only difference is that they were raised there while I moved to USA at the age of 1. The reason my parents decided to come to America was so I could have a better opportunity to succeed in life. They left everything they had there, family and friends, to give me and my brothers a chance to do something good with our lives. I will not take it for granted. I go to church multiple times a week, as we take our Christianity very seriously. We do everything through God. I have always been a straight A student. I put education first and try to challenge myself every semester with the classes I choose and treat all my peers with respect. Growing up in a family of seven, and being the middle child, I have always learned to not just take care of myself but to also take care of those close to me. I hold myself to very high standards in everything I do. This will only be my 4th year playing football but every year I have improved drastically and feel like I'm on the rise to do something special. I also play in a basketball league(not school team) and have recently started doing track. I won't be the most vocal in the locker room, but everyday I will come in to work and get better, always giving 110%.
