Matthew Sloan '25 Recruiting Profile

  Over my career, I’ve consistently pushed myself to be the best version of myself on and off the field. Currently, I hold my school’s record for the most rushing yards, touchdowns, and points in its history, which is a testament to my commitment, hard work, and love for the game. I pride myself on my ability to stay focused, stay disciplined, and never take a play or practice for granted. As an athlete, I have dedicated myself to excelling both on and off the field, and I am eager to bring my passion, skills, and work ethic to my team. I've currently been awarded offensive MVP for my team and overall MVP for 2A region 5.

 I enjoy workouts and practice, always giving 100% in everything I do. Whether it’s running drills, perfecting my technique, or hitting the gym, I take each opportunity to improve and challenge myself. My passion for the game drives me to give my best effort every time I step onto the field. Beyond football, I am self-motivated and I have a disciplined, well-rounded life. I’ve never been in trouble, and I hold myself to high standards both on and off the field.

  Off the field, I enjoy hobbies that keep me grounded and balanced. I play the guitar, fish, cook, and spend time boating. These activities not only provide me with an outlet to relax but also teach me patience, discipline, and creativity—qualities I bring back with me into football and into my everyday life. I have an academic interest in History and Business and strive to succeed in one of these fields after football. In the future I would like to own my own business along with teaching History.
